you cant solve improved road safety with cameras and if used to replace active policing is at best foolish, worst dangerous for all of us

been on a EU ciggy run to dover today (yes france got my taxes for the next 12 months of my hobby), derby to dover and back..460 miles nearly all motorway

traffic cops seen, 2 at forest east, parked up eating sarnies, one on the m20........who slowed down even the hardest audi drivers (the new bmw bandits of the road)

offences seen:

2 lorry drivers on non uk plates decided the hard shoulder is a valid lane when traffic is backed up and putting their hazards on gave them the right

undertaking is not part of the highway code, just choose the lane going the fastest and flick between them

if someone leaves a gap for safety..........then you can fit 3 cars into it

could go on, nearly twenty years driving and dont use M ways very much and scared me to death and few times nearly got me in the box before the cigs did

something is wrong on our fastest roads, after 8 hours i decided the rulers are the most aggressive, no problem for me, sky+ had the F1 covered so no great rush, others maybe lacking such a device or have great things to do in the 10 mins saved by bullying their way through the traffic

the only way to police the roads is put police on the road, cameras are fine as a secondary but can not replace and miss so much.........we pay taxes and we can decide how it is spent...bail out banks, back bailing out the motor industry both who have enjoyed "give away credit" to support them in the glory years or do we spent our taxes on making the roads safer for all...our slaves who think they are our masters wouldnt like that idea, but they are elected to represent us

on a positive, saw a rs200 in full rally kit on the m1 today, with 20 twenty other different high performance old fords behind it, inside lane and sub 70....that slowed down many a car, all that performance and driving like miss daisey, no ego, top marks
