i am guessing form this you believe that the police are above the LAW.....NOT....any of the emergency services drivers can be nicked for driving through a red light, traviling the wrong way down a oneway street, speeding and all the other motoring offences that the rest of the human race get nicked for......

maybe this is why most of the police forces call off chases above a set speed in built up areas or they will use the helicopters as the lead vehicle.
