Vic you know you are right on my view, best weapons are rubbish if no soldiers to use them, even worse put in weapons that dont need soldiers

i got into karting due to 2 speeding tickets, one by camera, one by a pc who gave me a right telling off..........the 2 working together pushed me to enjoy track days then karting

you cant improve road safety by trying to solve one aspect and turning around and saying i am working on this bit you solve the rest or part, it doesnt work and opens up massive loopholes........what needs to change is the perception you could get caught...speeding, dangerous driving, drink/ drugged driving, no insurance, no tax, no right to drive...speed cameras can ban you but cant enforce that you dont unless in jail

speed cameras (not as promoted safety cameras)work on a very simple level, they work only if backed up by active policing....as weapon great but not such a good weapon if the perception is just drive slower and no one will question you for any other offense on the road...thats when i ponder if funding is being reduced for the best way to improve road safety, active watchers (traffic cops), yes they cant be there 24 hours a day and everywhere but if you can change the perception that they could be.....they dont need to be

as i have said before i do enjoy this part of ukk, because everyone gets a chance to put forward their own views and have them challenged but the flip side of that is it would be pretty dull if the same people kept posting the same views, sometimes you have step back, lose the killer hand to let others feel free to post
