Lowering the speed limit on that stretch of road? Would 20mph have saved Miss Woods?

Ian, you're an intelligent person, we're all outraged at the fact that an inebriated person was killed by another person, highly qualified to drive at speeds well in excess of the limits and in charge with defending us from those doing that kind of speeds WITHOUT the training.

Daft as it may sound and heartened as I am I cannot find any lesson to learn from this particular death. And that's why I'm at most pain!
That and the fact that people like Ian are going to continually use Miss Woods' name (rest in peace) as he has just done, for the purpose of what exactly?

I for one cannot get over the fact that there was alcohol involved in this. I have expressed in the past the opinion that metal and flesh do not and SHOULD NOT mix. Maybe, just maybe, if Miss Woods (please forgive me, I'm only using her name because she is the example in this case) would have been instilled from young, only to cross roads with maximum attention and expect at all times that METAL WILL more than likely come towards you, she might be still alive now.
Even if alcohol would have faded her judgement, the subconscious might have been there for her!

PS. Please, please, try and think about this one. I was listening today to the accounts of the events on the day and I managed to have a vivid idea of what happened 3, 2, 1, 0 seconds from impact, and thereafter. Before you comment any further please try and do just that yourselves!
