Does your trailer actually need to be braked?

It is possible that the builders used standard braked components and removed the internals because the trailer didn't warrant the need to be braked.

Is the tow hitch designed to operate a brake linkage system?

Is this a two or four wheeled trailer?

Gt Towing or idespension should be able to supply parts but they don't come cheap.
