..........and are we now suddenly facing the fact that there isnt enough jobs for everyone
as nation we have become a "job " focused group of sellers not makers, when the credit cruch hit and over inflated consumer spending reduced the "support industries" sudddenly found their customer based reduced, shop workers, posh cafes that sell frothy coffee, call centre workers for the AA, kart suppliers and the side companys, etc anything we can do with out is questioned and a choice made, the net effect is less money being spent on....things we can live without
but the money being spent in the last decade has kept people in jobs and filled the gap brought on by increased efficiency...ie less man hours for same product, automation ..ie less man hours paid...all to drive down costs, costs that are unrealistic, are we heading towards a era where we are so efficient and automated that we accept there is not jobs for everyone and for the ones that there isnt "we" the tax payer pays the bill........was the same question asked at the birth of the industrial revolution
any economy based on consumers spending more than they have will crash, welcome to 2009..year of the chicken coming home to.....being reposed
any thoughts welcome
