If I remeber correctly (I am a bit old !!)Mansell's car was the best by some significant margin that year. On some circuits up to 2 seconds a lap faster than the best of the rest.

I think last year the Mclaren and the Ferrari were neck and neck with Ferrari having 2 top drivers. The BMW's weren't bad in a few races either.

Although Mansell was a good driver I can't accept his title was worth "more" than Lewis's.
