Ian, let me take the spade off you.......you are digging so deep you will end up in the country you dont want to be......Oz
it is very simple, each country has its own current rules, if you live there you live by them and every country is entitled to punish people who break them rules, if you cant live to these rules "bugger off" or end up in jail, we dont need to change our rules, customs or culture unless the majority want to, that is DEMOCRACY, the human rights act was never voted in so if used is a form of dictatorship, there is no middle ground between democracy and dictatorship so which side do you sit on.
our country is tolerent of different lifestlye choices up unto the point they break the rules or encourage breaking the rules...or should be
Rudds mistake was to direct his speech at one group and as i said in the original post placed too much focus on the reglion and not the actions, but as he is an elected leader it is up to people who vote to decide if his statement sat right with them
you may get more people understanding your point if you stop using history and google to post about current issues....at the moment judging by the posts you would have lost your deposit, which means you are wrong
have fun with this post
