I'd say you've got that the wrong way round in the world of today. The rabble rousers of the far right don't have hundreds of millions of petro-dollars spent spreading their message to hundreds of millions of the uneducated,the poor,the unenlightened.
I'm sure that the "far right" would love to have hundreds of millions of dollars a year spent promoting their views but this is not currently the case.
The rabble rousers withtin the muslim world do benefit from such funding and allowing such messages to be spread in this country without robust and frank challenge is what allows these messages to get a foot holding in communities here. It should be made clear that these views are not compatible with our "basic European/Western/Christian/Judiac views" (that's your quote) and if they wish to hold said views then they should F*** off somewhere else.

I agree with the thrust of your point but those muslims who are "just like you and I" are not making enough noise about this and are sitting idle whilst the nutters are shouting from the roof tops.
It's interesting that you mention Northern Ireland because that's as good an example as any of the rabble rousers going unchallenged by the majority on both sides of that particular divide.
