Ian ,my learned friend, you obviously didn't read my post of yesterday in which i wrote that the treatment meted out to the Native Americans ,Maoris etc by our fore fathers was inexcuseable,I know as well as you do that it was done to "tame the Heathens" or "put the fear of God into them" or whatever stupid line they chose but yes i fully agree with you.
Maybe the Lady concerned did want to save their little infidel souls, but it was agreed when her child started the school that the school nor Church could try to save his. Surely whats good for the goose is good for the gander?
And as for religious allegiance,I stand between my wife and family ( Anglican) and YOU ! No a believer but as far as i know I haven't broken the Big 10 (Commandments) so if there is a StPete he'll probably let me in anyway, but I suspect when i close my eyes for the last time it will just be a long long sleep.
Ooo shud have been born into a different religion killed a few of the "enemy" and got myself a few virgins after i kick the bucket.
