Yes.... OZ has been hot but it has been RECORD HOLDING hot these last few months!

Having said that, there are FLOODS there as well.

The point was NOT that Oz is hot... it was used ONLY to counter the DAFT argument that the world is cooler JUST because 2 sq miles around YOUR house is having a bit of SNOW!

You simply need to FINALLY grasp the MEANING of Global Warming! The meaning is that the AVERAGE temp taken over a period of time (a year is the convenient one) will show a trend of a HIGHER temp when looked at over (let's guess) 5 years!

The EFFECT of 'Global Warming' (as explained above) will NOT be ONLY to make certain places hotter; it will be to make the WHOLE planet less STABLE (weather!). Will will get many MORE 'freak events' and they will be STRONGER than previously experienced! For exaple, France would expect to get more (and STRONGER) floods and droughts, more storms and heat waves, more ice storms and 'hurricanes' than has been the AVERAGE in the past!

In all probablity, the UK will get VASTLY colder as there as STRONG reasons to suspect it will MOVE the Gulf Stream AWAY from us.... which will be a DISASTER for us!
