I don't get it.
I see a different set of rules for school kids than working adults.
Are YOU arguing that the rules SHOULD be the SAME?
If not, what are you saying?
There is NO contradiction in my position that I can see. Please shine a 'spotlight' on the differences!
We NEED 'health and safety' legislation in the work place BEACUSE the work place IS going to be (or should be) more dangerous than schools.
We NEED rules which mean that kids SHOULD be strongly supervised on DANGEROUS things like 'welding', using electrical items, cooking etc.. And kids should NOT have access to scaffolding, powered guillotines, mains distribution (consumer) boxes, etc..
However, NEITHER school kids nor workers need rules to protect them from everyday, non-lethal and non-serious-injury effects like grazing their knees!
What is odd about THAT lot?
