One of the interesting affects of carrying a flywheel at high rpm are the gyroscopic affects round the twisty bits, if the fly wheel is spinning fast it will not 'like' being turned in its other axis. Anyone thats used a pretty big angle grinder will know what i mean.

There will be an optimum rpm to run the kers though any given corner and i don't think it will be very intuitive for the driver.
