Totally agree with you, the US customer is a totally different beast as are its roads and fuels. I think its true that BMW don't sell diesels over their because the diesel it too low quality for their engines.

On a different note, what did you do for Ford and do you still work in the Auto industry. I'm about to qualify (this summer) as an Auto Engineer from Loughborough so I'm interested.
