Chros. I just don't believe it!

Cars that are MUCH cheaper to run are available today. They are NOT great cars but ANYONE of us could cut our car costs to a FRACTION of the amount that we spend. Be fair, how many karters tdo you know who drive Smarts or similar?

here is the suppsoed list of the 10 most fuel efficient cars in the UK:-

HONDA Insight Insight Petrol Hybrid M5 83.10 A
CITROEN C2 1.4 HDi Diesel M5 68.90 B
CITROEN C1 1.4 HDi Diesel M5 68.90 B
RENAULT Clio 1.5 dCi 80 Diesel M5 67.30 B
CITROEN C2 1.4 HDi SensoDrive Diesel A5 67.30 B
CITROEN C3 1.4 HDi Diesel M5 67.30 B
RENAULT Clio 1.5 dCi 100 Diesel M5 65.80 B
RENAULT Clio 1.5 dCi 65 Diesel M5 65.80 B
CITROEN C2 1.4 HDi Diesel M5 65.70 B
TOYOTA Prius 1.5 VVT-i Hybrid Petrol Hybrid E-CVT 65.70 B

We don't see many of THOSE at a kart race!

You don't see a lot of young men (OR young women) driving those, nor 'bread winner' Dads driving any of THOSE! What we see is a PLAGUE of Discoveries and Audi Q7s, BMW X3, X5 and X6 (for god sake!) and VASTLY too many BMWs in general! There are alops too many Dads (like me) In Imprezas, too!

I wish you WERE right! Christ, we NEED to cut our fuel usage for SO many reasons but, until the cost of running FLASHY cars increases, we simply will NOT see the change!
