I agree with RoadRat, the writing was on the wall and Ford and the others have kept their foot flat on the throttle and ploughed straight into it. Well ran businesses will survive a recession, those with the poor business models will fall by the wayside.

There will always be an innovative new business that springs up out of a recession, recession is not the death of an economy it should be seen as a lesson to not forget but sadly people do forget and it happens time and time again.

The companies with the green initiatives will be the one's who drive us out of recession. If I was to invest in businesses I would be investing in wave energy, wind power, solar power, electric vehicles etc.
