What a silly answer!

The speeds ARE higher on modern karts but the 'tightness' of the earlier track redressed THAT difference.

The VASTLY higher centres of gravity on the earlier karts also lead to an increased overturning incidence.

The WIDTH of the modern kart MASSIVELY decreases the probability of an overturning and, combined with the lower CoG, the modern kart is INCOMPARABLY less likely to overturn.

You are also attempting to compare the early 1960s karts with karts of the 2000s (plus). The karts which you SHOULD be comparing are those which DID have full length nerf bars (which the 1960s karts in the video DID NOT!) which were the ones which immedtaietly preceded the plastic TRASH we now see. Those final Nerf Bars gave MASSIVELY more towards the reductions in overturning than did the plastic trash that REPLACED them.

However, we cannot quantify those matters........ but you COULD quantify the 'improvements' given by the plastic.... just produce ANY statistics which show the INCREASED resistence to overturning given by the plastics......

You might even start that by telling us HOW the plastic (which is BANNED from 'covering' the extent of the wheels) has MANAGED to do better than the full length Nerf bars! Again, that's something that NOBODY has been able to do so far!

I rest my case.......
