Depends on your copy of Norton. Norton Internet Security does a pretty good job across the board.

Be more specific about 'scareware'. If you mean the sort of message that reads: "You are infected..... buy this that and the other"....when you visit certain web sites; it may simply be that the web site is DISPLAYING the message and NOT that it has 'infected' your PC!
