I know a lot of poeple that are saying "recession, oh it's not a recession, we're busier than ever", but the difference is, is that them people are the workers and they just carrying on as normal. However if you speak to the actual business owners then there is a totally different story.
I know quite a few business owners who are getting late paying customers and some non-paying customers and these business owners are literally on the brink of collapse. If they go to the wall then the money they owe out doesn't get payed and that has a knock on effect to their suppliers.
In my opinion we need Curry's, PC World, Woolworths and a few other big stores to disappear because it would make the retail sector a little less competitive allowing companies to work with more realistic sales and profit margins. The pile it high and sell it cheap world of yesterday is gone now so they need to sell less for a higher profit margin.
