errrr....... who was it that phoned me this week and told me that he could STILL use his ANCIENT Mac to run modern (sic) programs?

You keep missing it! Macs are OUTDATED! They are stuck trying to defeat the PC that existed TWENTY YEARS AGO! The PC moved ON but the Mac stayed in the PAST concentrating on looks rather than USEFULNESS!

No businesses out there as stupid enough to pay DOUBLE the price for a Mac that they would need to pay for a PC!

Yes..... non-techy kids and people of VERY restricted computer needs WILL like the Mac. It doesn't DO a lot so it is not complicated! You don't need hours of training to use a hammer because it is SIMPLE and only does one or two jobs; however lengthy training IS needed to use ALL the tools in a toolbox becasue they can do SO much more than a simple hammer!

If you have simple needs and you are AFRAID of computers and don't need to USE them, then the Mac-Paperweight is a GREAT option........ Think of the Mac like a school for backward children! Leave the rest of us to continue on to higher education and finally..... WORK!
