Wellll...... if you can assure me that Painting my helmet will make it last for OVER 36 YEARS, then I can see the 'similarity'....... if not...... I CAN'T!

I would NEVER buy a NEW SnaoOn Box but I would buy a bigger one, second-hand, than I have at the moment as I have more tools than I have space for!

Finally, a SnapOn box is ALSO a fashion-statement....... but it's also one that does a BETTER job of being tool-box (reliable, safe, convenient, VERY long lasting, etc.) than cheaper makes!

Now tell me that painting your helmet does THAT for you!

..... but I do take your point. If you are NOT in karting (or mechanic-ing) for the 'long haul' then you DON'T need a SnapOn toolbox. However, if you DO intend to do it for much of your life..... then it's not JUST a 'fashion statement'!
