A guy I interviewed had worked for a few F1 teams. From 1988 to about 1999. He started as an HGV driver, then got on pit crew on the rear jack. He left because he got married and settled down. He was a great bloke, very positive. He said the F1 life style was not the best paid, very long hours, but when you win its fantastic.

There are many avenues to go down to get into motorsport. It certainly helps to know someone on the inside. But I think the most important thing is your attitude and how you get on within a team. Good luck.
