Thanks for finally accepting the point! That was the REASON I put on such pressure; to get you to accept the POINT!

I am obviously sorry about your uncle (?) .

However, you are simply WRONG about people not dying because of global warming! You may already know that the increased number of Tornados and Hurricanes in the USA is being attributed to higher global temperatures. Just think of all THOSE who have died during the latest few year's worth.

Also consider those who have been drowned in even MORE violent floods in the past wfew years and those who ARE DYING from the droughts which are occurring in other places. Look at the numebsrt who have died during the strange 'cold snaps' and the truly VIOLENT hot spells we have been seeing in various countries. ALL of these things WOULD be predicted from a 'model' of 'global warmoing' with V*A*ST*L*Y worse to COME in the future!

That has been the POINT!

* TRUE! We CANNOT say FOR CERTAIN that Global Warming IS occurring...... but it looks VERY Much like it is

* TRUE! We CANNOT tell for CERTAIN that man has had SOME influence on any global warming...... but it looks more and more likely EVERY DAY!

* TRUE! We CANNOT say for CERTAIN that the increased floods/droughts, heat/cold storms etc. can be ATTRIBUTED to global warmning........ but that 'answer' fits the prediction like a GLOVE!

Assuming that your uncle's cirrhosis WAS alcohol induced (and I cannot KNOW that for sure), the point was that HE did the damage to HIMSELF.

The situation is NOT like that with Anthropogenic Global Warming! The 'injuries' inflicted on SOME of the victims will be through NO actions of THEIR OWN! Those who drowned in the recent Sub Continental floods were NOT the ones who have been 'drinking to excess from the oil wells'! It was YOU AND I!

PS.... be careful with your 'co-travellers' on this one! At one point, RoadRat made a comment which STRONGLY implied that he doesn't trust the link made by scientists between drink and cirrhosis! We ARE into 'wierd teritory' here!
