It's not the government, it's the oil companies. The oil companies must be making triple the amount of profits then they did this year which was already a record high. The things that go on in this country make me feel sick, supermarket (cartel) price wars designed to get the publicity and benefit all the big (cartel) players, clever idea but in reality it's a big con. Ministers wriggling, spinning and not coming out with yes or no plain English answers. Governments spending all our (haven't got) money on a failing global (no quick fix) economy.

I am thoroughly happy that the economy has collapsed in this fashion because for years I have been saying that it's rediculous the amount of debt that the country is in and the people of the country is in. A crash of this magnitude changes things for the better and opens up opportunity's for the have not's.

Gordon Brown has bragged for years about how he can wonderfully control the economy and that there will be no more boom and bust, well wakey wakey Mr Brown if this is not a bust economy then I feel you need a busted lip.

What was it that the hated Maggie Thatcher said, was it something like "don't try and buck the market or the market will buck you", how right she was.
