My Old JVC (CRT) Television has died. I should have put it in a museum years ago.

Was quite shocked to see the market swamped with LCD & Plasma units. (Where have I been!!!?)

I remember looking at them years ago and I didn’t like the pixelated display or the long persistence so I stayed with my traditional CRT.

I know the technology is probably miles better now so can anybody (from experience) recommend....

1. Weather to go LCD or Plasma?
2. What Makes/Models to steer clear from?
3. Any Special features to look out for?

Any other interesting knowledge you can provide.

Budget up Ł1000
Plinth mounted at the moment but option to wall mount in future.
Somewhere around 50cm
