I find it quite amusing that we have to go as far back as NINETEEN YEARS ago to find an example of the FIA making a favourable decision that went against Ferrari!

Says it all really doesnt it? I can give you a handfull of examples where decisions when pro Ferrari in the last NINETEEN WEEKS.

Never the less the 89 championship was Senna vs Prost where the McLarens dominated, Prost turned in on Senna at the last chicane and both cars stalled - though Senna restarted his car by a push from the marshalls and won the race only to be disqualified - ironically for cutting the chicane (similar to the Lewis incident on paper, opposing driver ran both Senna and Lewis off the road). Senna then went on to say this was a plot against him by the FIA (sounds very familure doesnt it?) and Mclaren had yet another appeal decision thrown out.

The only difference here seems to be that Prost was actually in a Mclaren - however with the Mclarens leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else, without throwing them out of the championship there was little they could do to accomodate a Ferrari driver on the top step of the rostrum.

I was only four at the time when the incedent occured, and didnt really understand what was going on. However I was confused as to why Senna was disqualified when it was Prost that ran Senna off the road causing him to cut the chicane!

Please correct me if im wrong with any of the info I have stated, as I say, I was only four at the time so my knowledge is based upon a child watching the race, and the 1989 F1 review I have on the good old VHS!
