I have to also say the magnum-premier clutches are jank-rubbish in every possible way, terrible at standing starts and they just slip all the time when they are supposed to be biting....I'm told its an industrial clutch that they adapted for racing, all I can say is its waft, I have not used one on a kart for 2 years, I only use them for dyno work....the top-hat spacer they supply is a complete joke ......throw it in the bin......get a few small M8 washers pack it out to about the same length as the clutch, then put on a big M8 washer and clamp the clutch.
The maxtorque clutch in comparison is far better engineered clutch, as long as you look after it properly, its designed to have about 20 thou of axial clearance from a big clamp washer, whereby you want a tad of axial rattle, but not 4mm!
