Yes, he is carrying about 12kg of ballast (he's not a big lad!) so is 103kg or over. He's running about .5s-0.75s slower than some P1 chassis' at Red Lodge, and we haven't really done any proper setup yet. Laps time around 49.5s, so a couple and a bit off the really fast people with top engines. Given the lap times of 49 compared with Rye house at 41ish (is that right?) that would indicate a 2-3 second improvement just on chassis would be on a par if not faster with the lap record at RL! So I doubt we would realise a 2-3s improvement!
The heavy braking areas at RL benefit from left handedness, so won't be so noticeable I guess.
Of course, going for a more modern chassis has to be on the books at some point. In the meantime, he's having fun!
