I believe the GX200's are so cheap because, they are partly subsidized / sponsored by RPM, and RPM want to own the market by under-cutting the competition, thats just business, nothing wrong there.

Secondly, the cam-timing on the standard GX200 is already quite racey at 110Degrees ICL.....the standard GX160 is about 105 Degrees ICL, hence you need to strip down the GX160, twist the gear on the crankshaft and re-assemble......which takes time labour and some new gaskets.

So the GX200, only needs external dressing of parts, with no internal surgery required.......hence they are quite cheap to build.
