Correction!!!.It is perfectly ok to set both valve clearances with the piston at TDC at the end of the compression stroke.In this position both cam followers are sat on the cam base circle and well away from ramps, lobes etc. Sorry about that, too involved in 'arguing the t-o-s-s' with 'Knighty'.
