Hi Kelvin. In that case, please can I suggest you consider to update the ignition regulations in order to add a bit of clarity for the 2 allowed coil types with stated part numbers, as people were getting excluded from races for using the new grey main jet, when it was a standard honda part, but it apparently was not homologated or allowed to be used :-/
on section 20, page 6 of your regs it says:
"20. Ignition coil The ignition coil (including ignition lead) will be the standard and unmodified unit and is interchangeable between all engine types."
But the reality of the situation is there are two coils and their part numbers are:
Original coil unit: H30500-Z0T-802
Now replaced with the new coil: 30500-Z0T-003
Apologies if I sound like an ego, thats not my intention, but I honestly did not want to make this coil change as I though it was cheating, especially considering the recent fiasco with the grey main carb jet......hence its still a dodgy area which needs to be clarified.
Again Honda are speaking in terms of 3000rpm generator motor......the kart community is talking in terms of 6600rpm race motor......quite a difference in perspective
again, just trying to help
