yes GX200 extreme is not the solution for the reasons you list.
If the MSA want to make it an equal performance at low cost, they need to be pooled engines with a lottery draw at each round, some series have now started doing this with rotax engines and its working well.
even in F4, the ford 4cyl turbo ecoboost engine is a measly £5,000 for the entire F4 season......Sodemo do the preparation and the engine is literally peanuts, yes lets say Ford engine give the engine for free to Sodemo to prepare it, even if its £10,000 for the entire season of F4, 10K absolute peanuts compared to what Formula-Ford engines were previously worth 5-10 years ago.
My point being there needs to be some central control in the hands of the MSA, not an engine builder.
either way, I'm happy to soldier on as we are, we love honda cadet racing and I enjoy the technical challenge of getting everything correct.
