I'm told they go bang alot......for the money that you are spending for that sort of power from what essentially is a generator engine, your better off buying a proper liquid cooled race engine and doing the job properly, like a TKM 4-stroke can be picked up cheaply now and are actually pretty quick, I'm assuming this is for a fun-kart?

The Honda GX engines are great in cadet and prokarts where they are only moderatley tuned.....but once you start pushing 8-9000rpm for 15-20hp, they get very hot and need a lot of welding and strengthening on the block and head.......its all down-hill from there :-/
