Not ran ours on a track yet, just fitted to the kart this weekend, my opinion of it is its a good little bit of kit, but it could have been much better, particularly with regard to the carbon heat shield to protect against burns, totally agree, dont touch it in the first place......but it needs to fully enclose the exhaust to prevent skin contact with the really hot metal, the blokes at RPM told me they are now all covered in burns, and it will melt your overalls if they so much as glance close to it.
Sorry, to whinge, but I design engines for a living and if I had designed and released something like this into the market place, I would now be fearing the liability claims for personal injury.
Secondly, I thought I would add a bit of loctite to the 4 screws to stop them falling out, they were only finger tight! upon putting them back in, one of the captive nuts broke off due to only being tack welded in place :-/
I think having a common exhaust is a great thing and well done to the MSA & co for doing this, but like I said, the execution of it could have been so much better.
