Yes. 'Later' in the regs. V11 the 4 jets allowed for MSA racing are listed with their nominal sizes and the Honda part numbers. (These will be the part numbers for the 'old' brass jets). In the case under discussion a 70 jet was fitted which may be the size favoured by all competitors and the size fitted to all QHQ4/QHG4 engines available in UK. I don't know. If this is the case then IMO this competitor has the protection of the opening paragraph of the regs. as in this respect (main jet new type) his engine may well be standard as supplied by Honda. Any change of jet size from that supplied with the engine would IMO be a modification, as would be the fitting of a' new' jet into a brass jet engine, and under the present regs this would be non compliant. It occurs to me that the supplier of jets would order by part number and the change, and possible effect should have been noted and publicised.
