Sad to report that John Marland, who raced prokart number 41 as Balmforth Transport for many years, passed away on Easter Saturday.
At the two-hour endurance race at Three Sisters this evening the circuit staff red-flagged the race two minutes early, lined the karts up on the pit-straight and switched engines off to hold two minutes silence. A very touching tribute to John.
