For half decent msa ready kit, something like a 2010 to 2012 Project one with a T1 engine, expect to pay about £800 to £1000......if your paying silly money like £500 expect to be hopelessly off the pace, as other dads will be splashing lots of dosh on top gear.....best advice is buy the best you can afford, regularly buy new tyres, then you will never question your equipment......penny pinching in karting never gets you close to the front, but will get you in the mid-field for sure.....we did this in 2014 for my lads first MSA racing year in honda-clubman, and he got stuck-in, but for 2015 i took a reality tablet and realised to compete in the full honda-cadet class I needed to part company with 3 grand on a decent chassis and top honda SP motor.
