We are just starting out in cadets. Following research and advice I'm probably going to use a 5w30 fully synthetic oil. Is this a suitable grade or should I use something else?

I'm not fussed about expensive oils at this stage as my understanding is that they are only used to improve lap times by amounts that make no difference to us at this stage. Not sure what is currently in it but possibly Joe Gibbs. Would it need draining to use a 5w30 if it is currently Joe Gibbs?
