if you are searching for revs you should be running joe gibbs oil, KRT 0W-20 fully synthetic will be fine, its only £20 per litre, just run 475ml, measure this carefully with an accurate measuring device as I find plastic kitchen jugs are easily 100ml out........ once it gets warm its like water, and does free the engine up rev wise.....its no big secret.....also its worth doing a compression test, but be sure to take out the exhaust push-rod before doing this in order to disable the low compression starting mechanism on the cam.......you should have between 110 to 120psi after about 10 sharp pulls on the starting handle, if its any less then you need either new piston rings + hone......or the valves need lapping in.......only run normal unleaded, as it will build up carbon and increase the compresion ratio......super-unleaded will clean out the combustion chamber very quickly and you will have a low compression engine, hope that helps :-)
