There were enough to require two grids (54 drivers I think). Max 30 in a grid at Buckmore I believe.

It rained first thing and was wet for both sessions, but the sun was out and fairly strong wind, so the track dried considerably between the two sessions. The first session would also have splashed off a fair bit of the standing water.

It's not something that's particular to Honda as far as I know.
