Not at all - no-one is resenting the novice lad from his position as far as I know (he's in our team!!).

My point was that those in TQ1 were clearly disadvantaged (illustrated by the fact that one of the quickest drivers in TQ2 beat the fastest lap in TQ1 on his first lap out), and even though there is a mechanism in the rules (as highlighted by Martin Bean at briefing) to accommodate changing track conditions, this wasn't used, when clearly it should have been.

As it happens, quite a few drivers from TQ1 went on to do OK in the end, but it should have been evened out from the start.
