The one thing that no one has eluded to here is the fact the kart is 4 years old and the chassis could well have 100's of hours under it's belt and no matter how nice it looks or how spot on the setup is it may well be just plain worn out and at the end of it's life, one of the first thing's noticeable when a chassis starts to go 'dead' is bogging out of slow corners and the smaller the power output you have the more noticeable it becomes. it would be interesting to see that engine perform on a new chassis.
