I'm new to karting (picking my kart up today) and would like to ask what the rules are on numbering your kart. I have noticed some karts have different coloured numbers / backgrounds, what do these mean(if anything)? Can I chose my favourite number? What happens if someone else has that number? Do I need to have spare numbers just in case?

I know these are a lot of questions but believe me, once I get started, the questions will be even longer....lol ;)
