Tbh that's what I thought.
But then I phoned Roy at R3,
If I understand correctly what he said then the sloped sides should be going the other way.Both in the same direction.
Flared ends toward pipe.

So I checked on a spare system we had in the workshop.the seals are different again.
the seal nearest the pipe is large end( flaired out) towards the pipe, the pedal side is large end towards pedal.

confused !!
