I'm afraid the car engine analogy does not stand up due to the difference in saved revs.

In a Gx it's a few hundred revs at most, in the car scenario it is a few thousand revs.

a call to any hire kart centre would prob' clarify that the Gx200 uses more fuel than the Gx160.
