Cycling through the charge/discharge a few times may recover the batteries. None of the transponders like to be left discharged too long. I advice charging at least once a month.

If after a few charge cycles it is still no good it will need repairing.
I repair & warrantee transponders; See my web site for details; http://www.kart-crazy.co.uk/Shop/TranspondersService.html
