I managed the whole season last year, including bending an axle and needing my radiator repaired, for roughly Ł1500. This includes a second hand set, one race old set of tyres each race, Travelling, sprockets, oil and filter change every other race, brand new chain every other race, fuel for the kart... and the list goes on.

My karts a Biland SA250 Fighter with a single phf30mm carb and euro style exhaust upgrade. In my novice year i managed 2nd in the championship, collecting 2 wins, a 2nd, a 3rd, a 4th and a 5th! haha, i DNF'd round 2 due to a radiator leak (rubbing on the sidepod), and eventually a crash. Now i put all my luck down to the engine and kart... and maybe a few do or die moves.

Now everyone can tell you this engines the best, or that engines to best, but fact of the matter is, every other engine this season had experienced a technical issue, except mine, the Biland held up all season. Not trying to big myself up, just saying it as it is, and the engine is just doing what is was designed to do, 300hours between rebuilds!

If your really interested in entering, and decide you want a Biland, i can put you in contact with a guy who has spent the last year or so buying all remaining biland parts in europe, and can now supply brand new engines, or extremly low hour engines for reasonable prices. All you need then is a chassis that can except inboard drive (most chassis' these days) and your away. Electric start, radiator on the otherside for weight distribution, nice and light, twin cylinder thus self balancing and revs to 13,000 rpm! Best engine out there ;).
