Perhaps 2 stop boxes? one after the fuel station and the other at the end of pit lane as per normal.
The distance between the two won't allow for speed to be built up before having to stop again to enter the circuit.
For pit lane entry....how about a coned chicane as you leave the circuit and just before you enter the narrow lane running up to the weigh bridge?

Having walkers work, but not all teams have extra people to act as their walker, and when does walking turn into a light jog? :-) not that we are a competitive lot.

The pushing the kart option to me simply wouldn't work long term, and could help reduce the number of teams looking to take part.
