One thing to remember is if you come out of the corners slow you will never reach top speed down the straight. It's better to get you corner exit speed right first. Depending on the quality of your engine you can rev up to 6100 as I know some of the top sp engine do. As a heavy driver from the past the weight is the main factor to you lower exceleration speed. If you don't get the exceleration out of the corner you will be swamped by others down the straight
