Abacus, I think you answered your own questions ? It's your first race and you are 18kg over the weight limit. Looking at the results on the other thread - Lucas won, with GC second and McDonald third. Those teams race in the national EPEC Series, which Lucas has won more than once, they have considerably more experience. Prokarts do not do 70 mph, that figure might be kph, but probably the calibration is incorrect. The gearing of 20/63 should help with acceleration off the corner, with the weight you are running at. Drivers at 180kg can run the 22/66 and will have a better top speed. 68 jets ? really ? must be like driving with the brakes on ? De-baffled exhausts were originally to remove the bits that break inside falling into the engine. First job must be to change the jets and see if that helps.
